Single-NV Magnetometry
For highly localized measurements where spatial resolution and low background are more important than total fluorescence signal.
NV centers in diamond provide an optically addressable spin system for magnetic-field sensing. The right material depends on whether the experiment prioritizes spatial resolution, sensitivity, sensing distance, orientation control or device integration.

Quantum sensing is not a single material specification. The desired spatial scale and signal level determine whether a single NV, shallow NV layer or high-density ensemble is the better platform.
For highly localized measurements where spatial resolution and low background are more important than total fluorescence signal.
For experiments that need strong coupling to magnetic moments or spins outside the diamond, with NV depth selected around the sensing distance.
For larger optical signal, prototype sensors, integrated instruments and applications where many NV centers contribute collectively to sensitivity.
These platforms can also be combined with isotope engineering, orientation control and custom geometry when the experiment requires it.
High-purity host material for controlled single-NV creation, scanning-probe work and low-background experiments.
